UFO over Windy Arbour?

We were recently asked to comment on a photo taken over Windy Arbour last week.

The orange blob in the photo was spotted in the early hours of Thursday morning. It's our opinion that this is actually Venus, which is currently very bright and visible in that part of the sky at that time of the day. Venus is known as the "evening star" or the "morning star" as it only appears after sunset or before sunrise at certain times of the year. The reason Venus shines like this is because it is  reflecting light from the sun. Venus is permanently shrouded by sulphurous clouds, these particular type of clouds are very reflective, reflecting around 65% of sunlight which hits them.

Evening Herald - Monday July 27 2009 - Is this a UFO flying over south Dublin?
