THERMAL IMAGING

PIGs use the Irisys IRI 4010 thermal imager to get a visual representation of temperature in an area. The unit is ideal for paranormal investigations due to its portability, although it can be difficult to walk and use it at the same time.
High quality images may be captured with the Irisys IRI 4010 thermal imager and saved on to an SD memory card. Proprietary software is required to view these pictures on a PC but they can be converted into more widely recognized formats for distribution afterwards.

The Irisys IRI 4010 thermal imager camera comes with an industry leading 3-1/2" display and delivers price and performance that is unique to Irisys. These units have been used to identify cold and hot spots in areas.

EMF
The presence of electric and magnetic fields is often associated with paranormal activity. Some people have experienced an unusual sensation when they are placed in an area with abnormally high EMF (Electro Magnetic fields) readings. These are energy fields that result from the existence and movement of electric charges. Electromagnetic fields occur naturally and can also be created artificially.

We use a variety of EMF meters to measure these fields, we use both analogue and digital units for a number of tasks, from the initial sweep to logging events over the course of an investigation.

The ELF-3030B digital EMF/ELF meter has an audible feature that responds to increasing and decreasing fields, this is useful when placed in a stationary position in an area where people have recorded seeing paranormal apparitions walking in hallways etc.

The TriField Analogue Natural EM Meter was designed to do field measurements for special research. It detects changes in extremely weak static (DC or natural) electric and magnetic fields. We  have used this meter with its audible alarm to great effect on some investigations, it is a very sensitive device and we have found that it best to leave it in a stationary position as human movement registers on its scale.

We also use the Trifield 100Xe Meter during investigations. This is an advancement on the very popular Trifield ALT1 except it has a 'practical' electric field range, measuring between 0 and 1000 V/m.

The above meters represent our most advanced EMF meters to date, we also some of the more inexpensive units during investigations where the need for extra attention to EMF is required. The CellSensor meter is most likely the most widely used EMF meter in the field of paranormal investigation due to its ease of use, availability and affordability. This meter is a dual use meter with both cellular phone RF radiation measurement as well as an accurate single-axis ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) meter. The Gauss Meter, or Dr. Gauss Meter is also very popular, the unit is lightweight and durable, with two easy to read scales (0-1 mG, & 0-10 mG), and dramatic audio signal.
